Money related notes:

Running our team is expensive, registration covers for some of the costs like equipment and uniforms, there are also extensive costs in having a field ready for practice and games (field, security, officials, etc.). Youth football really requires families and communities to support their teams short and long term. Everybody in the league is a volunteer, nobody (except for external security, officials and certification authorities) gets paid. Our main motivation is our own kids and our love for the game. The only selfish aspect I guess is our desire for our kids to win and be recognized. Our economic requirements are well below city averages and we try our best through sponsors and boosters to keep them that way.

  • The team provides shoulder pads and helmets, those are the property of the team and should be returned at the end of the season.
  • The team also provides jersey, pants and 7 piece pads, those are the property of the player after the season ends, not before.
  • Players need to provide their own mouthguard, socks (white), cleats, practice pants and practice jersey
  • Regular season games have a gate fee of $3 per adult and $2 per kid below 12 (not including players), playoff games have a gate fee of $4 per adult and $3 per kid, this fees are set by the league, coaches and game team parents are exempt from the fee, Team Mom fees will be paid by the Sharks (up to 2 per team)
  • No external food, drinks or water is allowed on the games, water or Gatorade will be provided for the players
  • Parents are required to contribute 4 service hours per player helping in team activities like field lining, chain crew, clean-up, etc. NO GATE OR CONCESSION STAND WORK REQUIRED, most teams require above 10 hours, a buyout is offered at $10 per hour and should be requested before the season starts. Failure to comply with this requirement will reduce the playing time for the player.
  • There will be one fundraiser for the banquet and trophies, there's a mandatory goal of 20 items per player (example: spirit cups, car wash) a $60 buyout is available and should be requested before the season starts. Failure to comply with this requirement will reduce the playing time for the player.

We have openings for assistant coaches and volunteers, find more information at the link below. All volunteers are background checked.
